Lion and sun; citing the ʿAbbasid caliph al-Mustaʿsim billah (AH 640-656 / AD 1242-1258), ‘al-imām al-Mustaʿṣim billāh amīr al-muʾminīn’ (‘Imam al-Mustaʿsim billah, Commander of the Believers’ in Arabic). Rev. ‘al-sulṭān al-aʿẓam / Ghiyāth al-Dunyā wa al-Dīn / Kaykhusraw ibn Kayqubād’ (‘The supreme sultan Ghiyath al-Dunya wa al-Din Kay Khusraw son of Kay Qubad’ in Arabic); around, ‘ḍuriba bi Qūniya / fī / sana ah[ad] arbaʿīn / sitta miʾa’ (‘Struck in Konya in the year 641’ in Arabic), all within a dotted circle.
